Cancellation Policy

Please cancel or change your appointment 48-hours ahead of your scheduled appointment time, during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.   

This means to not incur a late fee or missed session charge, a Monday appointment will need to be cancelled or changed on the preceding Thursday. 

If a fee does occur, the credit card on file will be charged $85 for a No Show and $75 for a Late Cancel for Individual Psychotherapy, with a $20 increase to this for co-joint sessions.  For Group Therapy, the fee is 2/3 the session cost, less $10 for a late cancel.  These fees are not covered by out-of-pocket reimbursements.  

Why It Matters

Available slots are limited and not double-booked, so that therapists can provide a high standard of care.  To do this, it also means therapists work reduced case loads, and operate on a fee-for-service basis, rather than salary or hourly pay model.  Therefore any notice above 48-hours is greatly appreciated, as it increases the chances of someone else being seen and allows this time to be better used. 

We Practice Reciprocal Accountability

If a client shows up to session but the therapist is unavailable due to a booking error or mistake, Ei extends credits in the same amount that would be charged to a client.  This does not apply if therapist needs to reschedule/cancel due to management of essential duties or too ill to provide service.
