Please do not reach out to us and wait for a response back before contacting crisis responders, as we do not have the ability to provide immediate help, nor the level of resources needed to stabilize in-the-moment crisis and emergency situations.
If you are reading this and you’re still unsure what to do, we have provided some resources that may help you in deciding next steps and things you can do for yourself, right now, to be safe and seek safety.
This is the protocol already stated above, but with some more specifics.
In addition to the crisis protocol, if you have developed a distress or safety plan, please take it out and implement it now. And if you have misplaced it, or you don’t have one, then please use ours. A Distress Plan is not a substitute for professional care, but it can help you get to your next safe moment.
